| PART 1 - Property Insurance |
| House Contents |
The basic cover insures household effects (belongings) against various contingencies whilst inside your home or at certain places outside your home. Deterioration of the contents of a refrigerator or freezer, personal belongings of guests and domestic workers, veterinary expenses, trauma cover, the cost of guards to safeguard your house after loss or damage and much more are covered automatically. |
| All Risks |
Certain belongings are usually taken out of your house. Wider cover is thus necessary for items such as laptop computers, jewellery, cameras, sports equipment, cell phones, and bicycles. |
| Buildings |
The basic cover insures the house, outbuildings, fixtures and other structures against contingencies such as fire, storm and burglary. Fire brigade charges and loss of rent after loss or damage are covered automatically. |
| Vehicles |
The types of cover from which you can choose are comprehensive (with or without theft), or limited (which provides cover for fire and theft only). Liability is included with these options, although it can be taken on its own (please refer to “Vehicle liability” or part 2 hereunder) |
| Water Craft |
Cover is available for water craft such as motor boats, sail boats and jet skis, among other things, whilst on land or on water. Injury to others or damage to their property caused by you is covered under “Water craft liability” under part 2. |
